There is an oversupply of properties on the market in the Aspen Area Real Estate Market.
Here are some figures to consider; 585 properties on the market in Aspen, only 57 closed so far this year. 261 properties on the market in Snowmass Village, only 17 closed so far this year. 163 properties on the market in Basalt, only 11 closed so far this year, 376 properties on the market in Carbondale, only 33 closed this year, 265 properties on the market in Glenwood Springs, only 43 closed so far this year.
If you average the sales out per year in each city there is:
- approximately 5 years of inventory in the Aspen Real Estate Market
- approximately 7.5 years of inventory in the Snowmass Village Real Estate Market
- approximately 7 years of inventory in the Basalt Real Estate Market
- approximately 5 years of inventory in the Carbondale Real Estate Market
- approximately 3 years of inventory in the Glenwood Springs Real Estate Market
Now is an excellent time to purchase real estate. The Roaring Fork Valley hasn’t had this type of inventory for years and many sellers are highly motivated.
