Aspen Area Real Estate Market looking up.

The Real Estate Market in the Roaring Fork Valley is hopping in the under $ 500,000 market segment…

As evidence virtually all the inventory in Basalt is under contract.  Of the 23 listed properties 19 are under contract currently.  The other 4 are for the most part ‘tear downs’.

Everything in Sopris Village (4 units out of 5) is under contract but 1 which was under contract but fell out on a technicality..

Many real estate agents will advise a home owner to make changes to their home to increase their chances of selling, but will not continue to push for those changes. Selling any home is like selling a product, it is better to appeal to the masses then to list an unmarketable home and hope for the best.

Don’t ever stray from yourself, in order to be close to someone that doesn’t have the courtesy to remind you of your worth, or the integrity of a gentleman to walk you home.

I was thinking of Cambridge, and then I got a bit homesick for a minute, 'cause I never been this far away from home before. But the I remember you're here, and now I'm not homesick no more.

This was how it was with travel: one city gives you gifts, another robs you. One gives you the heart’s affections, the other destroys your soul. Cities and countries are as alive, as feeling, as fickle and uncertain as people. Their degrees of love and devotion are as varying as with any human relation. Just as one is good, another is bad.

I always keep a Ziploc bag in my pocket, and wherever I go I fill up my bag with dirt, because my goal is to be the largest land holder in the world by the time I'm 42.

I keep a large map of the world hanging above my bed. Everybody wants to own land, but I want to own the oceans.

Real estate is the best investment on earth, however, when the music stops playing, which happens occasionally, don't be the one left without a chair.

The traveling world is parallel to the world of those rooted to one spot; it is the other end of the telescope, so to speak. Things that are taken by most people to have solidity and permanence become relative and subject to time
