It was fantastic!

I really enjoyed the performance the dancers were all tremendous athletes and the choreography was interesting and absorbing.

I would highly recommend this activity for families either living or visiting Aspen or the Roaring Fork Valley.

Hey all,

I recently had the good fortune to attend the Carbondale Rodeo.  Apparently a top rodeo publication listed it in the top 10 small rodeos to visit.  Although my rodeo experience is very limited I would agree.

We had a blast.  The rodeo is well attended and much local color can be seen.  Spending much of my time in Aspen the thing that I was most astonished by was the price.  At $8 for adults and kids under 10 free a guy can take a family of 5 out on the town for $ 16!!!  Throw in hot dogs at $ 1 apiece and you will have a blast for approximately $20, unheard of in the Aspen area.

The rodeo was very entertaining and if you and your kids have the endurance to go the distance it lasted over 3 hours.  No sales of adult beverages however it appeared that there was not any regulations regarding bringing your own.

Indexed Universal Life products are tools and a tool needs to be suited to the job.  That said, In my practice I use this particular tool frequently, but only in the above situations where its use is dictated.  Leslie Scism of the Wall Street Journal is astute in pointing out that this is a great product for those who have maxed out other qualified contributions.  Additionally the article points out that these products are capped.  I am a fan of ING’s IUL which has no cap.

A great application for this product is a Restricted Employee Benefit plan.  If a business owner wants to compensate one specific employee these can work exceptionally well as they have a “golden handcuff” component where the employee is contractually bound to stay with the company for some specified agreed upon period.

I personally have been asked to sell these Indexed Universal Life Insurance to individuals who had no IRA or 401k and have declined.  Use the right tool for the job, ALWAYS put the client’s interest first.
