Question: I want to get life insurance for my 80 year old mother. Should I get term or whole life?
Answer: Unfortunatley your mother will be unable to obtain term life insurance due to her age. If she is healthy she may be able to be approved for whole life insurance however it will not be inexpensive due to her close proximity to her statistical mortality, ie she is relatively old.
